We prepared the image-wall of the cafes and furniture: A reception desk, oval in shape with drawers and opening doors, a shelf, a chest, a showcase for exhibitions and others for the Russian pavilion at the World Expo 2015 in Milan within just a few days. Wheat ears were placed between the slats in the cafe as a symbol of the enormous agricultural potential of Russia.

The world Expo 2015 in Milan is an international exhibition, which took place from May 1 to October 31, 2015. The theme of the exhibition was: «Feeding the planet. Energy for Life. »

The slogan of the Russian exposition at EXPO 2015 was as follows:

«The Russian field. Keeping growing for the benefit of the world. Cultivate for the sake of the future «, the main theme was stated as food safety. Wood was chosen as the basic material for the construction of the pavilion — as the most eco-friendly and at the same time most traditional material for Russian architecture. The entire top tier of the pavilion was decorated with wooden panels, while the lower deck was lined with transparent and opaque glass. The entrance area was made of clear glass and served as a friendly and «conditional» border between the territory of EXPO and the exhibition. The interior of the entrance area of the pavilion, just as the whole pavilion, was designed by the architectural bureau SPEECH: the mirrored ceilings are echoed by the sheathed stainless steel load-bearing columns, while the oval-shaped reception desk is made of wood, picking up and developing the theme of strict slat rhythm on the side facades of the building.

June 10, 2015 was declared the National day of Russia, in connection with which the exhibition was visited by President V.V. Putin.

On October 30 in Milan an award ceremony was held at the World Exhibition EXPO-2015. The Russian Pavilion was awarded the bronze medal for the best design at the exhibition for the first time in nearly 20 years of post-Soviet history of our country’s participation in the Expo. The Russian Pavilion also stood as one of the three champions as of EXPO attendance: during the six months of the exhibition it was visited by 4.200.000 visitors.
